Dan Miller, PE

Principal Hydraulic Engineer

Dan enjoys being in wild places, so it’s not surprising that, when asked about his favorite projects, he has three words: Alaska, Alaska, and Alaska. “The scale of things is incredible there and I enjoy seeing the results of projects we began there years ago.”

Dan likes using his engineering experience on stewardship projects, and Inter-Fluve has given him plenty of opportunity to do so. Since joining Inter-Fluve in 1997, he has worked on many large-scale water resources projects in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, including stream hydraulics, sediment transport, and fisheries engineering along both wild and urban streams. His expertise includes: analysis and modeling of channel hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, river scour, watershed and groundwater hydrologics, and sediment transport; design of fish passage, river engineering, and channel relocation; wetland mitigation; dam removals; streambank stabilization; and construction oversight.
