Rachel Chidlow

Field Technician

Rachel is a Field Technician based in our Hood River, Oregon office. During the summer and fall of 2024, she will be completing habitat assessments along 70 miles of river in the Upper Columbia River basin. She graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in Geology and has since worked in various field-based positions. These roles range from Field Assistant in the beautiful yet mosquito-choked Yukon-Koyukuk River Basin in Alaska, to Research Geologist for the USGS Earthquake Center in Menlo Park, California, to landslide verifier based out of Morgantown, West Virginia, where she verified and mapped landslides. An avid rafter and white-water kayaker, Rachel is looking forward to walking and kayaking rivers for work this summer.
