Nate Ramos
CAD Drafter

Driven by a passion for environmental justice and watershed restoration, Nate joined Inter-Fluve as an intern in 2024 and was soon brought on full-time to support drafting, fieldwork, and engineering design. Originally from Watsonville, California, Nate grew up witnessing the impacts of extensive development—such as flooding, water quality issues, and drought—which sparked his interest in environmental engineering. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford, where he collaborated with the Karuk Tribe on a project examining the environmental and social impacts of dam removal on the Klamath River. This experience cemented his commitment to place-based, community-focused work in the restoration field.
Based in Inter-Fluve’s Saint Paul, Minnesota office, Nate primarily works on drafting engineering plan sets for our projects. He also utilizes his GIS and data analysis skills whenever possible and enjoys getting into the field to survey diverse aquatic ecosystems. Outside of work, you can find Nate cooking, reading, exploring the backcountry, or dancing—he’s quite accomplished in everything from social dance to performance and even had the opportunity to perform in a cave shortly after relocating to Minnesota.
