Brian Broderick, PLS
CAD Drafter & Surveyor
Following college where he majored in geology and geography, Brian worked as a GIS tech before moving west from Maine (where he grew up) to work for the U.S. Forest Service on a trail crew in Hood River, Oregon. A chance offer to help out land surveying with a local firm in the off season landed him a start in his future career as a surveyor. Eight years later, he was licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), proficient in CAD and managing projects that that included developing topographic maps for development, performing boundary surveys, and topographic surveying. Attracted to working more “with the natural environment,” Brian joined Inter-Fluve in 2022. As a PLS, he will spend considerable time surveying project sites across the West and drafting designs in CAD.
With two young children, Brian and his wife’s lives are full. He still manages to ski when he can (he’s a former freestyle skier and coach); he’s also teaching his four-year-old the basics. His other passion is soccer. A former high school and college player, in summer he plays on two leagues.
