Janneke Ryan, EIT
CAD Drafter, Engineer in Training
Janneke (pronounced Yanika – it’s Dutch) was raised in Dublin, Texas, “smack dab in the center of Texas,” Janneke says. Growing up in a family involved in animal agriculture, she was operating heavy machinery on farms around Dublin by the time she acquired her driver’s license. After graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering, she worked with a civil engineering consulting firm where she set up design drawings, managed sewer and water infrastructure improvement projects, and performed hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for developments. She eventually moved to Hood River, Oregon where she found Inter-Fluve in 2023.
As an Engineer in Training, Janneke’s primary role is to work with our design teams to draft illustrations and construction plan sets in CAD for projects around the country, and recently British Columbia. “I really really enjoy my work,” Janneke says. “There is something really satisfying about working with design teams to communicate their findings and proposed designs so that people on the ground can transform them into reality.” CAD isn’t the only sophisticated tool she appreciates working with; she’s also a talented organist and has a 61-pipe organ in her home. Her interest in mastering highly sophisticated tools– like a pipe organ–go hand-in-hand with her enthusiasm for technical and easy to interpret plans like the 45+ page set of plans for the East Fork Lewis River Ridgefield Pits project she recently completed.
